How did we get here? How do we survive and thrive?
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that reunites you with the person you were when you were born. Do you remember being a very small baby and seeing the world with curiosity? Do you remember how you moved, ate and slept based on an internal clock? A consistent practice will begin to recalibrate you.
Yoga will support whatever sport or physical pursuit you currently involved in. Not just because you are stretching the working muscles, but because Yoga tunes you in to the alarm signals your body is sending you as well as teaching you to have higher regard for these messages. Our culture teaches very young to ignore these signals.
Yoga asana prepares your mind for calm and quiet. The connection between breath and movement immediately switches on your para-sympathetic nervous system. Achieving this complete calm allows for an organic reprogramming of basic thought patterns in your brain to remain in this calmer state as a default.
